Hand Hooked Rugs - Up Close and Personal

Student Supply List:
There will be no material fee for this workshop. Students are responsible for collecting their fabrics. The instructor will have materials and backing available for purchase prior to and during the workshop.

  1. Backing (loose open weave linen, burlap, cotton)
  2. A variety of fabrics (approx. 6:1 based on for every 1sf of hooked surface, 6 sift of fabric is required)
  3. Rug hook
  4. Scissors
  5. A frame or quilting hoop (used to stretch the fabric)
  6. Inspirational photographs, drawings and/or books.
  7. Rotary cutter and a healing mat to cut your fabric strips.
  8. Miscellaneous items - binder, note paper, glue stick, pencil crayons.
